When we launched Delhivery SME, our exclusive offering for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), we had a simple yet ambitious vision in mind: Bringing the power of technology to the hands of India’s entrepreneurs.
Everybody agrees that in the post-pandemic future, e-commerce will drive the growth of retail sales. While the internet is available to everyone, e-commerce is not a level playing field. Big e-commerce players make significant investments in their technology backbone that small and medium enterprises cannot afford to make. Order management, real-time tracking, data science etc., often cost a lot of money that SMEs might not have.
It is this gap that we, at Delhivery, want to bridge. We are not just a courier company. We are a shipping and logistics company that empowers you with the technology you need to compete against big e-commerce players. Here’s how.
Delhivery’s CL app is designed for small business owners to generate pickup requests, track shipments, and perform bulk manifestation from the comfort of your mobile phone. With a clutter-free and intuitive interface, you can run your business on the go.
You can also view details about orders in transit, track shipments in real-time, take stock of packages in the warehouse, generate pickup requests, calculate the rate for different packages, explore past logs and more! The app also lets business users handle multiple orders simultaneously. In addition, the ticket-based query system enables quick handling and resolution of issues.
You can find answers to all this and more with Delhivery’s data science capabilities. Our analytics engine helps SMEs plough data, derive valuable patterns, and optimise their product shipping and processing. What’s more, you get all this to build your analytics engines.
SMEs transact products of different sizes, materials, and values from one end of the country to the other, sometimes even across the globe. Your profit margins depend on getting deliveries right the first time, every single time.
Since the pandemic, small businesses have taken a hit as logistics slowed down. Evolving lockdown regulations across states and even within cities made end-to-end shipping harder than ever before. As the situation evolved, Delhivery built a series of technology solutions to help businesses adapt effectively.
Addfix, an ML solution we built, helps SMEs unscramble unstructured addresses into map coordinates. This can then be fed into Delhivery’s real-time map interface, which verified if these addresses were in containment zones. It then returned a simple yes/no answer. If the address is not in a containment zone, no problem. The SME is notified to contact the buyer and either cancel the order and delay delivery.
AI engine can even help make complex decisions based on the nature of the product. Take, for instance, a hair oil. Our AI solution can identify that it’s a liquid that requires differential handling to avoid damage and also that it cannot be transported by air due to regulatory restrictions. With little information from you, we can predict and eliminate major complexities well in advance.
Democratising access to newly unlocked market segments and collaboration with ecosystem players for mutual gains are contingent on your tech capabilities.
